This privacy policy ("Policy") discloses the data collection and use practices of Pet Space ("Pet Space") in connection with the Pet Space Web site (the "Web Site") and all associated Pet Space products and services (the "Pet Space Services").
Pet Space will not directly inform you of any changes to the privacy policy which involve use of your personal information. If at anytime you are dissatisfied with our service to you or are in disagreement with our terms and conditions or privacy policy, you reserve the option to Opt-out of our website and future communication. Pet Space may make non-significant changes to our privacy policy and may not notify our members if said changes do not pertain to the handling of personal information.
What Information We Collect/How We Use It
We store and use the information you give us in accordance with the terms of this Policy. Our registration form (or registration information you provide our marketing partners if you joined Pet Space though one of our partners) requests that you provide certain contact and profile information. That information includes but may not be limited to: name, address, email address, phone number, gender and birth date. Additional information may include, but not be limited to, health and lifestyle information about you and your family such as marital status and household information (spouse, children, pets, etc.), ethnicity, education, income, occupation, purchasing habits, reading habits, insurance, height, weight, physical and mental health conditions and diseases, symptoms, treatments, medications, medical devices, vitamins, health habits, participation in research surveys and clinical trials.
In addition, we might receive information about you from outside sources and add it to your Pet Space membership information. We do this to improve personalization of our services (for example, providing better newsletter content, advertising or special offers that we think will interest you).
We also may collect information such as the identification of the server your computer is logged onto and whether you opened a Pet Space e-mail delivered to you. We also may compare our customer list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending identical messages to our members. You can add and modify the information you have provided by sending an e-mail to privacy@dedicatedmedia.com with your requested changes.
We use all this information in five ways:
- to provide you with personalized information via electronic delivery, telemarketing and/or direct mail. These may include personalized offers from 3rd party sources.
- to send you targeted advertising via electronic delivery and/or direct mail;
- to contact you for feedback and surveys via electronic delivery and/or direct mail;
- to send you general and administrative information about your Pet Space membership via electronic delivery and/or direct mail; and
- to provide your contact information to Pet Space marketing partners whose offer(s) you have selected to receive in order for them to send you special offers via electronic delivery, telemarketing and direct mail.
Agents
We employ other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. These companies and individuals may include but are not limited to pharmaceutical companies and their subsidiaries and affiliates, and manufacturers of food and health-related and consumer-related products and services and their subsidiaries and affiliates. Examples include sending direct and electronic mail, removing duplicate information from customer lists, analyzing data, and providing marketing analysis. These agents have access to member personal information as needed to perform their functions for Pet Space.
Third-party Advertising
We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like to be removed from any 3rd party advertising and solicitation through E-mail, telemarketing, or direct mail please send your request to remove@dedicatedmedia.com
Non-Personally Identifiable (Non-PII) Consumer Data
While visiting the web site of one of Pet Space’ business customers, including advertisers and web publishers (referred to as “Business Customers”) Pet Space may collect anonymous data. This anonymous data contains information such as a web user’s IP address, web pages which have been viewed by a web surfer, date and time, and responses by a web surfer to an advertisement delivered by us or a third party advertising technology vendor such as DoubleClick, Inc. Pet Space or a third party advertising technology vendor, may use different types of technologies to collect this type of information, including cookies and pixels. None of the foregoing information (collectively referred to as "non-personally identifiable data"), by itself, or together, can by its nature be tracked to a specific individual's personally identifiable information. Cookies will remain active for no longer than 30 days.
How Is Such Information Used?
Pet Space will use your non-personal information in order to better target advertisements and to improve our advertising systems and products.
Third Party Information Gathering
This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by Pet Space. Pet Space will not share any Non-PII data with any third parties, with the exception of DoubleClick, who we use to deliver targeted advertising messages.
Consumer Choice
Non-Personally Identifiable Consumer Data - Use of Cookies & Opting-Out
Pet Space uses Doubleclick ad-serving technology, including cookies and pixels, to deliver better, targeted marketing messages to individuals. These tools are used to collect anonymous data for the sole purpose of providing more relevant advertisements to that user. We believe that the use of such tools assists in providing a more meaningful web-surfing experience. If you would like to opt-out from having Pet Space collect your Non-PII, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp. Simply check the “opt-out” box next to “Pet Space” and all Non-PII will be purged from our system. When you opt out, we will place an opt-out cookie on your computer which tells us not to collect your Non-PII to target our advertising messages. Please note that if you delete, block or otherwise restrict cookies, or if you use a different computer or Internet browser, you will need to return to the NAI website to opt-out again.
Deleting your PII
Although we don’t collect PII via our Technology or our Business Partners, if you'd like us to update, correct, delete or deactivate any PII that you have provided to us on the Website, please send your request to us at privacy@dedicatedmedia.com and we will process your request within a reasonable period of time after receipt.
Security Precautions
Pet Space makes significant efforts to maintain the security of its network and the data we collect. We use various technologies, including, in certain instances, encryption, to ensure the highest security standards. Any data that is stored on Pet Space' servers is treated as confidential and is not generally available to the public. Pet Space has an internal security policy with respect to the confidentiality of customer and other data, limiting access only to those employees who we reasonably believe need to know such information for the purpose of performing their jobs. Please keep in mind, however, that the Internet is not a 100% secure medium. Therefore, although we use reasonable efforts to protect information, the possibility of somebody defeating our security measures does exist.

Pet Space is very sensitive to the issue of children's privacy. Pet Space’ websites, products, and services are neither developed for, nor directed at, children. If you believe your child has provided Dedicated Network with personally identifiable data, or registered at one of Pet Space’ websites, and you would like to have the data removed, please contact us at privacy@dedicatedmedia.com.
Sale of Assets
In the event that another company acquires all or substantially all of the assets related to the business, we reserve the right to include any or all stored personal information among the assets transferred to the acquiring company.
